Best of the Fest is part of ELEVEN EDU. – our fresh approach to industry education. Our aim is to inspire a new generation of cutters who can take this knowledge back to the salon and instantly share it with their clients. Best of the Fest extends this by mixing equal parts hair trends with business tips from industry experts. The condensed three hour seminar was a success around the country!
Best of the Fest kicked off by showcasing two haircuts inspired directly from the 2015 Music Festival Season. The haircuts were done in easy-to-follow steps that stylists could take back to the salon. Special thanks to to the ELEVEN EDU. Team; Rachel Vitullo, Melvin Royce Lane and Jay Frederickson.
After an intimate networking break, Co-Creative Director and three-time Australian Hairdresser of the Year, Joey Scandizzo, hosted a Q & A session where no questions were off-limits. The big question on stylists, managers and salon owners’ mind was social media. As an owner of five salons, Joey believes it’s crucial that each salon has a consistent message, voice and tone. He concluded by stressing the importance of industry support. Only together can the industry reach its full potential.
