The inspiration for this beautiful Boho look was "Off-Duty" model texture - that effortlessly messy yet demure style that we see off the catwalk. Giannandrea, International Creative Director for Macadamia Professional created this look for Jessica Simpson for the Los Angeles premier of Gleason and we couldn't be more excited to share how to get the look with you! Follow along with the steps below...
STEP 1: Apply Macadamia Professional Foaming Volumizer from roots to ends of wet hair to create a voluminous base.
STEP 2: Blow dry hair with large Macadamia Professional 53mm Hot Curling Boar Brush in 6 large sections, to create a voluminous blowout. Do not stretch the hair, just soft dry for added volume.
STEP 3: Create a middle part and wrap small sections of hair around a 1” curling iron.
STEP 4: Once all the hair is in waves, use a flat iron to gently flatten the waves especially towards the ends, keeping the softness and volume up top. There should be no roundness at the ends. This process is most important as it gives the waves more of a “Boho” appeal.
STEP 5: Spray Macadamia Professional Style Extend Dry Shampoo at the crown for a dry texture finish and use Macadamia Professional Weightless Moisture Dry Oil Micro Mist from the mid-lengths to ends to create definition and shine.
STEP 6: Finish the look by spraying Macadamia Professional Tousled Texture Finishing Spray to the crown and through layers for light volume and texture.
