This year, there is a new Chanel to watch out for. Chanel Joan Elkayam, 19, is the youngest designer to present at both Paris and New York Fashion week and her aesthetic is something to take note of. At London Fashion Week Andrew Smith was the mastermind behind the beautiful hair paired with her creations and with finger waves, soft up-styles, Chanel’s vision of subtle beauty, timeless glamour, and sophisticated romance came to life.
The Inspiration behind the show was Vera Brittan, a female poet and writer who was lost in love in the midst of war. The collection and presentation represented the emotions portrayed at this time. A fusion of raw beauty, emotion, power and romantic sensuality. Timeless glamour and subtle intimacy.
How To Get The Look: Separate the hair into 1.5 inch sections on either side of the parting, and tie remainder into a low knotted bun at the nape of the neck. Keep hair super sleek, glossy. Using irons create soft, feminine S-Waves that gently flatter the hairline. Take the S Waves around the back of the hair and grip them into the bun.
