Kelly Osbourne unveiled a brand new shade for the new season – fiery orange. As a celebrity and fashion icon, Kelly’s new color was an idea all her own, “Kelly came up with the idea of her fiery new color all on her own- she has an eye for all things fashion and we both knew this color would be brilliant on her,” said Celebrity Colorist Joshua Anderson of CURE Salon Malibu and the Jonathan Antin Salon.
Joshua created this color on her by first lifting her to a level 7/8 and then depositing PRAVANA VIVIDS Orange from roots to ends. A big change from her usual lavender locks, there was left lifting required due to the tone. “Because the fiery red-orange color we desired is a deep, rich color (not a pastel), I didn't have to lighten her past a level 8. I lifted her to a level 7 so that the color could grab more and last longer as opposed to lightening past a level 7. I lightened her using Redken Flashlift + 15 Vol. Developer + Olaplex, then applied PRAVANA VIVIDS Orange and let process for 20 minutes,” said Joshua.
To take care of this bright new hue, Joshua has her use a color safe (sulfate and paraben-free) shampoo and conditioner and instructs her to wash in cold water, “not just to preserve the color, but to keep her hair healthy and shiny,” he says.
