Lobs have been trending for a while now, but there is one downfall to the trendy cut—that dreaded, medium-length that feels impossible to style. Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered! Take a peek at three quick and easy hairstyles for mid-length strands.

Bedhead Waves

Much like the lob, medium-length hair looks best when it’s a bit messy and effortless. To achieve  “I woke-up-like-this” waves, mix together label.m Smoothing Cream and label.m Gel before working the product into damp strands. Blow-dry hair smooth, then curl hair with a 1 1/2-inch curling iron, leaving about an inch out at the end. After you release the curl from the clamp, quickly pull strands taut to achieve a more natural-looking wave. Allow hair to set, then use fingers to loosely separate your waves.

Beachy French Braids

If you think you can’t braid mid-length hair, think again! French braids look cool and modern on shorter strands, especially when they have a bit of texture. To achieve the look, spray label.m Sea Salt Spray onto damp strands and gently scrunch the ends. Dry hair as desired, then divide hair into two sections for the French braids. Braid both sections and secure the hair with a clear elastic. Then, gently pull the French braids apart to create the appearance of thicker hair. Pull out a few face-framing pieces, then finish with hairspray if desired.

Messy Top Knot

Play up second-day texture and shorter length with an effortless half-up, half-down style. To create the look, apply label.m Dry Shampoo to your roots to soak up any oil, then wrap 1-inch sections around a curling wand, only wrapping the hair around the wand once to create a “bend,” not a wave. Then, pull up the top section of your hair into a messy topknot and secure with a hair elastic and/or bobby pins. To finish, apply a dime-sized amount of label.m Mesh Styling to your fingers and light work the product into your ends for a bit of separation.
