Model-off-duty style has transcended the style section and your Instagram feed and has become the goal of fashionista’s everywhere. With it girls like Gigi Hadid, Kendal Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski rocking effortless hair day in and day out, we begin to notice the trend toward the controlled chaos that is model-off-duty hair – not wavy, curly or straight, it is natural looking with the perfect finish. How to get this look? It is all about the product!

We asked the creator behind our latest product, Dry Powder Volume Paste: Co-Creative Director and three-time Australian Hairdresser of the Year, Joey Scandizzo.

“The key to effortless hairstyles is making sure the hair is healthy and in good condition. We wanted to create a styling product that nourished the hair while creating loads of texture and body. By adding coconut oil, Dry Powder Volume Paste keeps the hair healthy. The end result is a styling product that provides great texture without looking trashed and oily.”

Whether your hair is clean and fluffy or in need of freshening up, apply a small amount of paste on dry hair and massage through roots to ends for body, texture and movement. For those with fine hair, apply through roots to create volume that will hold all day. Or if your hair is on the thicker side, apply through roots to ends to provide texture and hold hair in place.

  1. Prep damp hair with Miracle Hair Treatment to enhance natural shine while preventing split ends.
  2. Blowdry hair until dry.
  3. Apply Dry Powder Volume Paste through roots to provide volume, and root lift. Apply through mid-lengths and ends wherever texture is desired.
  4. For a more controlled look, apply Give Me Hold Flexible Hairspray to the finished look.
