Stars and starlets walked the Red Carpet and took the stage, dazzling in high fashion and donning the latest beauty trends. Taking us backstage, hair artists Jennifer Yepez, Larry Sims, and Sunnie Brook Jones for Matrix and Biolage are giving us the steps to some of Hollywood’s most coveted looks. Take a peek at the styles they created for Laura Harrier, Danai Gurira, and Elisabeth Moss below –- you don't want to miss these celebrity styles!
Laura Harrier

Wearing a stunning bright pink custom Loewe gown, Laura Harrier’s dress embodied not only elegance on the Red Carpet but forecasted trends we’ll be seeing this spring! Nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Case In a Motion Picture for her role in BlacKkKlansman. She was also spotted backstage cozying up to her former co-star Michael B. Jordan looking as beautiful as ever. Hair Stylist Jennifer Yepez was there to get her ready for her big night.
GET THE LOOK:
- Start with damp hair and apply Matrix Smooth Setter all over followed by Matrix Volume Builder Mousse
- Make clean sections starting at the nape and blow dry hair
- Make sections and clip in hair extensions to give more length and volume. Then, make more sections and start to wave the hair using a 1 3/4 curling iron wrapping the hair around and leaving the ends out
- Brush out hair, then apply Matrix Shape Switcher on the edges laying down the hairline with a toothbrush
- Then apply Matrix Style Fixer on the front part of the hair to lay down any flyaways and smooth the hair line
- Once the hair is smooth, spray the hairline and front part of the hair with Matrix Style Fixer Hairspray and use a hairdryer on low speed and heat to set the hair. Drying in the hairspray will have your look stay from day to night
- To keep the hair in the back voluminous and soft, brush the hair out again and finish with Matrix Volume Fixer Hairspray all over

Danai Gurira

Black Panther actress Danai Gurira constantly stuns on the Red Carpet and this show was no different. Nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, Black Panther. Danai was among the best dressed as she floated down the Red Carpet in a white feathered Ralph & Russo dress. “Danai’s dress is Ralph & Russo Couture with a sea of Gorgeous feathers. The feathers inspired me to create a regal, textured, chic shape with her natural hair.” Said Larry Sims.

GET THE LOOK:
