Although last year we loved a peek into everyone’s homes and the festive silky pajamas, the return to the Red Carpet for the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards was a welcomed event. High notes from the evening highlighted wins for The Crown, Ted Lasso, and the Queen’s Gambit, while the cast of Schitt’s Creek left us all in stitches. Speaking of Schitt’s Creek, while they all always look fabulous we really loved Annie Murphy’s tousled waves to complement her languid look. Another style we couldn’t get enough of was Kaley Cuoco’s polished pony to juxtapose her neon dress. Keep reading to see how Wella Professionals Celebrity Stylist Ambassador Mara Roszak and Clairol Professional Celebrity Stylist Ambassador Christine Symonds created each of their looks.

“Annie has a natural beautiful ease about her. We decided to create natural flowing tousled waves,” says Roszak. To create the look she started by applying RŌZ Santa Lucia Styling Oil to her damp ends and mid-lengths to smooth and add shine.
For volume at the roots, she then applied Wella Professionals EIMI Root Shoot Precise Root Mousse then blew dry Annie’s hair with the ghd helios professional hair dryer and ghd ceramic vented radial brush in size 3, leaving a natural movement in her hair. Next, to create waves, she alternated between the ghd unplugged styler to create S waves and ghd curve soft curl iron for loose waves. Using both the styler and iron to style the hair creates more volume and texture. Once her hair was all waved, Roszak sprayed Wella Professionals EIMI Dry Me Dry Shampoo all over to break up waves and add a beautiful soft “lived-in” texture and finished the look with hairspray for added hold and shine!

“The dress was such a statement we wanted the hair look to be soft and easy. I think it was the perfect match,” says Symonds.
Prepping Kaley’s hair with Clairol’s Shimmer Lights Thermal Shine Spray and Clariol Shimmer Lights Leave-In styling treatment. Then she blow-dried the hair and set it with clips to create volume and movement. From there Symonds put one row of Hidden Crown Seamless Hair Clip-in Light Ash Blonde and pulled the hair back into a ponytail then pulled out a few pieces around the face to soften the look and frame her face with her fringe.
