Inspired by the shades of a sunset, the latest collection — SUNSET — by Encarna Moreno and Maria Gomez photographed by Kike Miranda, showcases shades that melt from gold to red and brilliant purple. Meant to inspire the audience to get lost in the hues and seek reflection, peace and upcoming change, just like staring off into the sunset. In this image, we channeled the position of the sun when it is fully up, which is why we created a golden beige-blonde color and paired the look with dark sunglasses. For a fun style, we used a combination of the mullet and pixie (a new trend called the mixie), and paired it with long sideburns and highlights at the nape.
Thinking about the time in which the sun is going down, we pulled earth colors often seen on the horizon and paired it with a pixie cut with short bangs and highlights at the nape.
As dusk sets in and the evening begins to fall, colors change to a gorgeous violet hue just before dark. It was only fitting to pair this style with a straight bob shape and a single shaved side and full straight bangs that we’ll be sure to see more of this season.
Taking these hues and transforming them for the night, this look mixes volume and shape for a blend of colors and a more intense purple shade just bathed in golden light. This look was then styled upwards to add more volume.
Letting the most coveted colors of the sunset explode, we channel the horizon with a red hue and various shapes and styling techniques to create interest in the finished look.
