The great thing about makeup is its ability to transform your face and your mood with a couple well-placed highlights. Blushed Babes
An updated look from makeup artist Way Brandy, this statement blush contour by Pat McGrath at Valentino SS18 stole hearts. To get the look, opt for minimal (natural looking) makeup everywhere else. Then swipe the rosy hue of your choosing from cheek to brow bone and add sheen with gloss over the eye for a shimmering effect.
Shadow Wash
Bold and beautiful has been quite a movement this year with single toned washes of eyeshadow in shades that scream “Flashdance.” To achieve the look, be sure to prep properly, you’ll want an eyeshadow primer to ensure your shade stays in place. Then pick one (yes only one) color, and concentrate it on your eyes. Possibly add a minimal lash with some mascara and let the color do the talking!
Heartthrob Lips
What better time of year to wear this perfectly pout trend than Valentine’s Day? It is a look anyone can be achieved as long as they have a lipstick and a lipstick brush! (Or we’re sure you can probably Macgyver it with a Q-tip.) Negative space heart shape lips can be both bold and understated at the same time. Depending on the shade you choose and the space you leave between, it is a simple detail to add to your look that only the one you’re snuggling with might notice! Leave it to Pat McGrath (YAS QWEEN) to come up with another loveable addition to our beauty arsenals. She achieved this look at the Maison Margiela Show (SS18) and we couldn't be more excited to try this trend!
