Ba28b66ac8750037b0cd watermelon nail art

Thinking outside the box, Editorial manicurist Alicia Torello took a fresh, fun approach to a half-moon mani. With a tropical twist, she created the sweetest watermelon nail design that is giving us all the feels. As the summer heat sets in, you’ll want to take a bite out of these juicy digits.

  1. Start with a base coat, like essie’s here to stay base coat
  2. Take a striping brush to create the moon shape at the base of each nail using the shade watermelon, then go back and trace along the edge of the moon with mojito madness to create the rind.
  3. To create the dots, you can use a dotting tool or toothpick and add a few random seeds using the shade licorice.
  4. Finish with a top coat like essie speed setter top coat for the quick drying time and added shine!
