Ziortza Zarauza, (1976) Guipúzcoa (Donostia) has been a hairdresser for more than 10 years in Centro Beta, located in San Sebastián. Daughter and granddaughter of hairdressers, she enter the profession collaborating in the academy of her father - Gonzalo Zarauza -. Her extensive and continuous training endorses her as a professional and teacher in the sector of hairdressing and styling. Zarauza is trained as a specialist in hairdressing and superior technique in integral aesthetics and in personal image counseling. Her interest in learning leads to an endless number of courses and workshops on image counseling, natural cosmetics and perfumery, extensions and postures, fashion collections and trends, volumes and textures, hair treatments, bride's updos and men’s cut.
She combines her role as a trainer, collaborating and working with companies in the sector, among others, as the author of the "Yes I Do" image REVLON Professional (2015), or as a collaborator in the international hair salon (PIVOT-POINT)
The publications of her job in specialized magazines of the sector do not go unnoticed because of the visibility and creativity of her collections. She is coauthor of textbooks for vocational training that combines with editorial titles such as TECHNICAL PROTOCOLS OF WORKS IN HAIRDRESSING AND PRODUCTION AUDIOVISUALS AND SCENICS.
Among other distinctions, she has received awards such as the SPAIN COUNTRY WINNER of The Style Master 2014 International Contest and the BEST TECHNIQUE AWARD 2014 of The Style Master 2014 International Contest, becoming the first Spanish woman chosen Country Winner to represent her country in this event. Its award-winning collection, "Nereidas", mythological inspiration on the nymphs of the sea, unites beauty and technique, passion and tenacity. A collection that aims to show these "Nereids" (sirens) combed for three different occasions, as the author herself says: "as a sailor's guide as a lighthouse, stranded on a rock with hair in the wind and as a figurehead in a boat". In 2015 she was a finalist in the "Vanguard" category of the Fígaro Awards and in 2016 she was pre-nominated to "Spanish Hairdresser of the Year".
Ziortza Zarauza is defined as a woman as mother and mother, passionate about hairdressing and in love with teaching, creative, simple, hardworking and a tireless pursuer of new learning.
