¡Aclarate el cabello este invierno! La mayoría de nosotros nos oscurecemos el pelo en lo que llega el invierno a nuestras calles, pero, ¿por qué no aclararlo durante esos meses?
Becky G – música y modelo Cover Girl, quien lleva cabello oscuro como marca personal, ha experimentado con sus tonos y, recientemente, se ha aclarado el color con unas mechas definidas (“Statement Highlights”) que ¡nos encantan!
¿A qué nos referimos con este término? Simple. Esta es una combinación de los mechones gruesos de tiempos pasados con los más modernos “Babylights.” No es un look ombre, pero es igual de impactante.
Estamos enamoradas de este look. ¿Por qué? Pues, porque mientras cambiamos el maquillaje para resolver el dilema de la falta de sol de la temporada, nuestro cabello también se debe ver ligero y soleado. Aunque el cabello más oscuro pega muy bien con ese sweater color caoba, el aclarar el tono ofrece el contraste necesario para que el look brille en su totalidad.
Bien, pues, ¿qué le debo pedir a mi estilista? Pídele mechas que sean dos o tres tonos más claros que tu color natural, suficiente para darle dimensión al cabello sin que sean mechas obvias. Las mechas deben de comenzar cerca del cuero cabelludo, pero pídele que utilice la técnica de balayage y utiliza la frase “suave” al describir como deseas que estas mechas se mesclen con tu base.
Ahora, para peinarte de manera de destacar este nuevo look, deja que tu cabello luzca su textura natural, un look playero con ondas naturales. Así podrás seguir disfrutando del verano, aunque sea otoño o ya haya llegado el invierno, y estarás lista para la llegada de la primavera y las vacaciones veraniegas. ¿No lo crees? Go lighter for winter! Most of us choose to darken down our shades as the winter weather descends on our usually sunny streets. Why not go lighter for the winter months? What are statement highlights?! They are the hybrid of the good old days of “Chunky” and the newer “Babylights”. They are not an ombre, but pack as much style punch.
Why we love this look? Because, while we’re switching out our makeup to compensate for the lack of sun, our locks still shine bright. Going darker for winter will match your auburn sweater, but going lighter will offer up the perfect juxtaposition to make both hair and sweater pop!
What to ask for? Highlights that are a few shades lighter than your natural color, enough to show dimension but not too much to look stripey. You will want them close to you roots, but ask for balayage or a balayage effect using foils - use the word “soft” when referring to base blending.
How to style your lightened locks? Neither here, nor there! Rock your natural texture or opt for a barely straight, lightly curly look! Think beachy blended. Live out the summer vibes into fall and winter, and by the time spring and summer roll around you’ll already be ready for your swimsuit ;)
