On damp hair, create a horseshoe-shaped section at the top of the head.
Step 1:
Starting in the nape region, taper the hair using scissor-over-comb while using a 45-degree angle. As you proceed to the top of the section, increase the elevation to maintain the length.
Step 2:
Repeat at the side sections, leaving length in the area just below parietal.
Step 3:
Establish vertical sub-section at the center back. Slide Cut weight line around the parietal from the mid-lengths to the ends using this traveling guideline.
Step 4:
Release the horseshoe-shaped section. Create a horizontal part at the high point of the head and establish approximately a 4-inch guide. Using this guide, pivot around the back of the section, Slide Cutting from short to long. At the front of the section, create a narrow vertical sub-section. Match from the guide at the high point of the head and travel through the front section, cutting from short to long and increasing the length as you move toward front hairline.
Step 5:
Blow-dry the hair and Surface Plane length throughout top and front.
