MFW Dolce & Gabanna - Guido Palau

Although the clothes were a classic showing of Dolce & Gabbana fashion, animal prints, lace, sequins and velvet full of flair – the models were something of a twist. Non-models in the form of influencers, celebrity offspring and even royalty graced the stage for a show like no other. With a live performance from singer Austin Mahone, these “models” sauntered down the leopard printed catwalk in all ages and sizes, giving an attainable vibe to the collection. Individuality seemed to be the theme at most shows this year and when it came to the hair, Dolce & Gabbana was no exception.

“Here at the Dolce & Gabbana show, it’s all about the entire Dolce family. There’s influencers, clients, models and real people walking in the show. It’s Dolce’s way of celebrating every kind of woman. The hair is being ‘Dolcified’ for each person, while working with each individual client on how they like to wear their hair. In the end, each look will be feminine and soft. Some women will have their hair up, some down, some will have crowns and some will have florals.” – Guido

GET THE LOOK 

LOOK 1: ELEGANT UPDO

1. Prep hair with All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner to cleanse the hair and add softness and shine.

2. Create a center part using a fine-toothed comb.

3. Allow hair to air dry. If hair is straight, use a curling iron on the length and around the hairline to add a little bit of soft texture.

4. Spray Wind Blown 05 all throughout lengths, ends and at the hairline for a dryspun, windblown texture.

5. Pull hair back into a French twist using fingers and secure with several u-shaped pins.

6. Use fingers to pull out pieces in the back, towards the front, and to soften side bangs, if needed.

7. Add a headband or accessory to add a little flare.

LOOK 2: ROMANTIC, HALF-UP CURLS

1. Prep hair with All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner to cleanse the hair and add softness and shine.

2. Create a center part using fingers.

3. Allow hair to air dry. If hair is straight, use a curling iron on the length to add a little bit of soft texture.

4. Spray Wind Blown 05 all throughout lengths, ends and at the crown for a dryspun, windblown texture.

5. Using fingers, pull one to two-inch section from each side of the hair and pull back behind ears. Secure with bobby pins.

6. Once secured, twist hair over each side to the opposite side and secure with additional bobby pins, hiding them underneath the hair.

7. Spray a touch of Fashion Work 12 Hairspray around the hairline and on the pinned section to tame fly aways and add a touch of polish.
