Last year, we reported on a trend that we held close to our hearts… literally! How do you hold your coffee cup? Pumpkin Spice was one of our favorite trends we reported on last year and as the Starbucks season rolls around and we’re fighting off this heat wave, we can’t help but see the trend as we revisit this seasonal favorite again. Although this year, we’re diluting the color and adding a bit of milk to the mix… Pumpkin Spice Latte, if you will.
This season is still all about reds and the warm hues of copper, but with a touch of cream. The darker hues are becoming pale, almost pastel, but with more of a drawn out shade than a poppy, bright hue.
As summer fades, the lingering light of the sunset is casting shades and influencing our hair choices. Up until now we’ve tried to get cool tones to contrast our tan lines, now we are shifting toward a rose gold paradise and golden tones. The range of colors is still available, but in muted variations. Spice up your latte with a few under lights or low-lights to add dimension and contrast to your new shade of fall.
We are welcoming this warmed up color scheme for fall, even if it feels like summer in most parts of the country. Because, once this heat wave subsides, it’s cooler months ahead until the Groundhog rears his pretty little head.
