No matter if it is the Bride, the Mother of the Groom or the Flower Girl, weddings are stressful times full of little details to plan. As their trusted stylist, you can help them melt the stress away by planning their look with them and checking this item off their lengthy to-do list. Because even normal women turn into Bridezilla's and demands start flowing through your door, you need to help guide your Brides as they start prepping for their big day. Be sure to ask them a few questions and create a plan for the busy season ahead.
Agree on a Style and Stylist:
You may create amazing cuts and color for your beloved client, but this doesn't necessarily mean you will be the one to style their hair for their wedding. Many stylists working in the salon don't create up-styles or travel for weddings. If you aren't going to be styling their hair, be sure to offer help in finding a trusted alternative for them.
Have a Game Plan for Their Cut and Color:
The number one thing you should speak with your client about beforehand is the agreed upon cut and color for their event. Advise your clients to leave experimentations until after they say “I Do!” Always recommend that they shy away from the trendy new cut, or a bold color before the big day. To make sure they have the color, length, and style they desire; be sure to speak with them up to a year before the date and begin planning appointments and applications to get to the look they desire.
Will They Need Extensions?
Whether the style is up or down, extensions are sometimes needed to add extra length, body, volume, or even cohesiveness. Discuss extension options with them, so they have ample time to plan and budget. Explain to them that adding extensions to an up-style will not only enhance the style, it will improve the longevity as well.
Which brings us to our next point...
The Weather
Help your client plan for their big day by taking a peek at the weather on location. This is where product, product and more products will come into play. Discuss their style, the locations and the neckline of their dress to help them with their look.
For the most part, up-styles will transcend any temperature, humidity or wind situation. However, wearing their hair up might not be their style. This is why it is important to think about all of the outside factors of location, especially if their ceremony and reception is outside. For example, if they're having a beach wedding and plan on having their hair down, the proper products need to be applied to hair during prep, and continuously throughout, to make sure strands stay in place with the sea and the salt.
Always Plan a Trail Run
Always suggest a trail run to your brides. You may have styled their hair a million times and trust each other endlessly, but when it comes down to it the day of is always different. You want their day to be perfect, and so do they, so help them plan ahead!!
Planning a wedding is stress city no matter how zen the bride is. They are worried about the guest list, their location, if they should have a live band or a DJ, and last but not least...their hair! As their trusted stylist, help your clients to check this item off their list sending them off to say "I do" looking and feeling gorgeous.

Siempre sugieren una prueba a sus novias. Usted puede haber estilado su cabello un millón de veces y confían entre sí sin cesar, pero cuando se trata del día de siempre es diferente. Quieres que su día es perfecto, y ellos también, ¡¡entonces ayudar los planificar!!
