Spring is right around the corner, which means it’s time to get our hair in shape! It’s a season synonymous with flowers, sunshine and flirting, and no better hairstyle goes well with flirting than bountiful waves and curls!
Picture it now, you’re walking down the street, catch the eye of a cutie walking towards you and as you pass by a spring breeze picks up and floats your bouncy curls over your shoulder, giving you the perfect opportunity to sweetly smile and have this person immediately smitten. How’s that for a meet-cute?

Red Carpet Waves
Magnificent waves shouldn’t just be reserved for glamorous nights, but rather any day of the week, when you’ve got the time, of course. You might have seen these waves when Amanda Seyfried, Reese Witherspoon, or Jennifer Lawrence recently walked the red carpet, so if that’s not convincing enough for you to mimic this style, we don’t know what is.
For these luxurious Hollywood glam waves, you’ll want to utilize the Sam Villa Signature Series 1” Professional Curling Iron. Begin by sectioning off your hair into two to four, even parts depending on the thickness of your hair, and focus on one section at a time. Take a chunk of hair from one section at a diagonal in your hand, apply your heat protectant serum, and comb through with a wide-tooth comb. Once the serum is evenly applied, grab your curling iron and with the iron facing downward against the upper-middle area of your section, begin to twist-wrap your hair around the barrel until all hair is captured. Leave on for a few moments and release. Quickly add a dash of hairspray to the warm section, then stroke through twice with the same wide-tooth comb. Repeat this process with all of your sections, and when you’re done, you’ll be left with waves fit for the red carpet!
Beach Waves
Now, if you’re a little less red carpet, and a little more Boho, sweet beach waves may be the hairstyle for you. To create this go-with-the-flow look, the Pro Results Double Waver is going to be your best friend. For the purpose of this style, you’ll be using the wand portion of this styling tool.
As with red carpet waves, you’re going to want to protect your hair before you get started with a heat protectant serum or spray. Then, to add a little extra texture to the final product, add a little bit of dry shampoo to your hair.
Once your hair is prepped, begin by grabbing a one-inch section of the bottom of your hair, and move the waver from scalp-end downward, clamping down on sections and releasing as you move down. Keep the hair clamped within each section for a few moments before moving down the strand to the next section. Once your hair has cooled, let it fall naturally and continue waving the rest of your hair.
Finally, once your whole head has been waved, apply a texturizer, like Redken Triple Dry 15, throughout your hair, while loosening the waves with your fingers and you’ll be transformed into a member of the cast of 90210!
