There’s just something about the change in seasons that makes us want to hop on a plane or get in the car and go somewhere…anywhere! The season brings us back to a time before summer courses and PTO requests, when we were free to spend our time exploring the world around us. Travel has never been more popular than it is now, but before you take off be sure to take these staples with you!
Start with your pack
There’s nothing worse than getting to your destination and finding your toothpaste or shampoo has spilled all over your clothes. While adding a small piece of saran wrap over your hair products is a big help (simple place a piece of saran wrap over the open bottle and replace the cap on like normal), also invest in an airtight container that will keep your clothes safe.
Next, always bring the necessities.
With constantly changing weather patterns and humidity rising, you’ll want to make sure your hair doesn’t succumb to a “frizz halo” in your favorite #selfies. A solid shampoo and conditioner set are always a great idea. While we always recommend Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner due to the dehydration of travel, be sure to pick a shampoo that works best for your hair type.
Bring a hero product.
Oil is one of our favorite products for travel due to its versatility. You can use it before a blowout, to air-dry, or to tame frizz. Vanishing Oil is a great addition to any trip and is perfect for all hair types.
Bring Your Own Pillowcase
While it seems like a silly extra item to pack, we can’t live without a silk pillowcase. It is amazing how much it can prolong the life of your style. Not only is the water harsh when traveling, but the bedsheets can also be as well. The great thing about a silk pillowcase is how small it packs down and you can even use it to pack delicate items on the move!
