Translating the times outside the lines, Pierpaolo Piccoli transformed his runway into a work of art, inclusive of all shapes and styles. His garments proved to push the envelope of recent trends. While most have been reminiscing at 80s power suits, Valentino started a new movement for women to be proud of. Breaking all the rules, he takes floral to a new level… more mod. His romanticism carries throughout the collection giving the pieces a touchable feel and an attainable story.
When it came to the hair, Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau new he had to create something complementary yet unique. “Here at Valentino, what I’ve done is another ponytail but unlike other shows, there is a lightness in this hair.” Says Palau. “I’ve cut soft pieces around the face for a little romance, a little disheveled, especially around the ears that gives femininity to the ponytail and makes it less severe.”
