Upon graduating from cosmetology school, Janet was offered a position as an assistant with the legendary John Delaria in his NYC salon. A combination of hard work and training under the watchful eye of Jo Blackwell earned her a position as Junior Stylist. Looking to further develop her craft, she joined forces with Antonio Prieto’s salon where she eventually became Director of Education. Janet's hunger for knowledge has carved her path to become an educator for leading hair color distributors and manufactures such as Goldwell, Uberliss and Pravana. Passionate about education, Janet truly enjoys sharing her industry 'secrets of success' through her classes and in salon trainings. To date, she continues to enjoy different projects such as performing on stage the International Beauty Show, hair design for the runways of Fashion Week in NYC as well as hosting special charity events and projects for various beauty editors at her Gramercy Park salon. Janet Rufin is a valued member of the colorpHlex education team.
