An all-inclusive runway, styles were seen on models of diverse backgrounds and generations. A stroll of everyone’s “Sunday best,” Italiano style - sequins, satin and lace. Giving their cast the moniker “#DGFAMILY” it encompassed all their favorites, from Monica Belucci and Carla Bruno to Helena Christensen and Isabella Rossellini & co. When it came to the fashion, 90s trends were still strong with all the Italian romance anyone could ever want.

Chiuri takes her audience to the Hippodrome de Longchamp where Alexandre de Betak constructed the 164-meter square stage. An all-black stage (and seating) allowed for a dramatic spotlight effect on the runway where dancers and models intertwined down the spotlit confetti-laden “runway” as they showed off soft shapes and casual fabrics - evoking the ability to move freely.

Miuccia Prada is known for making a statement on the runway - one far more influential than a pair of knits or heels. She takes a stand in her clothes and always seems to be moving forward with them. This season, Milan saw two sides of Miuccia. On one hand, her SS19 show screamed conservative, while the other said anything but that. From buttoned-up blouses to shear ensembles, she had everything under the sun, and then some.
