For easy to master looks for nail fans, amateur artists & those just starting out!

We asked Instagram influencer Reyna of @ReynasNailArt to share some of the top trends amongst the digital nail community. She dishes on trends that help anyone look more like a nail artist with easy-to-use industry tools and products. Here are three biggest categories in trends and what you need to know:

Holographic nail polish – sure “holos” have been around for several years, but Reyna says, “holographic nail polishes are a big hit in the nail art community right now. There are so many different holographic shades at this point.” These shades go on like regular polish, but offer dimension, an easy-to-apply nail art in a bottle. Holos provide texture and color variety and really come to life in light.  Nail artists are experimenting with holographic shades to create more interesting looks. “I love to pair a dark holographic nail polish with a pastel crème. The unique combination is an experiment with color theory,” continues Reyna.

Nail vinyls – these are stencil-like creations for nails. Apply a design sticker on the nail and polish over it. Once the polish is dry, remove the vinyl to reveal a design with straight, clean lines. Reyna explains, “these are also a big hit in the industry. Nail vinyls allow for advanced designs to be made easy. They make it possible for anyone to be a nail artist by being able to simply create designs. I personally love using vinyls with two contrasting cremes so the design really pops. I also love adding a glitter accent nail for even more of a bold statement.”

Stamping – this technique uses a plate. Apply polish to the plate on the design you want to use, wipe away excess color and transfer the design to a stamp. Then, stamp desired nails. “Over the last year or so, stamping has become really big. Similar to nail vinyls, stamping transforms advanced work into simpler steps -- but stamping offers way more than nail vinyls can. Stamps can be much more intricate and create even more of a professional looking ‘wow’ factor.
